Mary O. Sotile, M.A.

She has, with her husband and partner in practice, Wayne Sotile, authored five books including the newly released Letting Go Of What's Holding You Back: Maximize Your Happiness in Work, Love and Life (Stewart, Tobori & Chang, New York, 2007). Her other books include Marriage Skills For Busy Couples, The Resilient Physician, and The Medical Marriage. Her work is featured frequently in the national and international popular media and she has appeared on the Good Morning America, Dateline NBC and CBS Morning national television shows.

Ms. Sotile serves as president of Real Talk, Inc. and Co-Director of Sotile Psychological Associates in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She has presented more than 1000 keynotes to gatherings of lay and professional audiences including invited presentations to the National State Farm Women's Symposium, The North Carolina Conference on Women, Conde Nast Publishing, the American Medical Association Leadership Conference on Physician Wellness, the American Academy of Medical Administrators, the Federation of State Medical Boards and numerous other gatherings of national professional organizations.

Ms. Sotile trained at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and at Wake Forest University. She is a licensed professional counselor and a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. The American Academy of Medical Administrators has honored her for "lifetime contributions to the field of health care administration".
